Must-have Skills Traumatic Stress

Part 1: Traumatic Stress and Posttraumatic Stress. Humanity as a top priority. The Golden Hour. Defusing and debriefing. Stopping the shock wave: Do's and Dont's.

Part 2: Capturing victims - how do you do it? Initial interventions: In & Out, Fist and Squirrel. Secondary and tertiary trauma. Suffering-to-suffering. Flooding and avoidance.

In this training, you learn to cope with trauma victims - for those who deal with trauma at a later stage, this training helps to recognize, for example, suffering-on-suffering.

 

 

For

All social workers who care for victims during or shortly after a traumatic experience: medical and paramedical personnel, crisis counselors, psychologists, therapists, counselors, social workers, prevention counselors and HR managers, coaches.

Prerequisite for participation: having completed basic Trauma-Informed practice training, or equivalent training or experience

  • no diploma requirements
  • you will receive a certificate of participation
  • cancellation possible up to 30 calendar days in advance (minus euro 50,- administration fee)
  • number of places limited
  • accreditation BVP : 6 points
