Treating complex trauma - best practices!

 

 

Content: Must-have Skills C-PTSD

Part 1: How to begin treatment C-PTSD? Question, history and mandate. Helpful theory and frameworks.

Part 2: The "C" of Complex-PTSD: risk factors and obstacles. Nobody Home and Alive and Kicking. Guilt and shame. Early childhood trauma. Attachment trauma. Developmental disorders. Personality disorders.

Part 3: Best Practice techniques shame, WoT, Sense of Self and Sense of Belonging. A new family. Imaginary community. Setup in the imagination. My real self. The inner child in me. Schedule Working with sharing and how to use it.

Part 4: Finishing the trauma healing: transforming the past. Top three techniques: Rescripting, Progressive Counting, Affect transformation. Which technique when? Combining techniques. Promoting integration and post-traumatic growth.

In this training you will learn best-practice treatment techniques for C-PTSD.

All social workers who want to make a difference for people suffering from complex trauma: medical and paramedical personnel, crisis counselors, psychologists, therapists, counselors, social workers, coaches.

Prerequisite for participation: having completed basic Trauma-Informed Practice training, or equivalent education or experience and Skill Training 2 PTSD.
